Serving Hat Island and the surrounding area, the vessel will: Transport Fire Fighters and equipment, Evacuate persons from roadless areas, Transport patients, Assist mutual aid partners in search & rescues, and Assist boaters.

Funding Goal: About $49,000

About $49,000 is needed to repair and equip the 30 foot boat that was used by the Navy and was free to the Fire District

Funds Received So Far

Funds Received So Far: About $32,000 (65% of goal) About $24,000 from a state grant. Fund raising and donations make up the rest.

What Does The Boat Need?

Short Answer: Everything. From the very basic boating gear like fenders, lines, and lights to Coast Guard required safety items like life jackets, horn, life ring, navigation lights, and anchors.

We are Accepting Donations

BRONZE LEVEL. Less than $100 - Your name is listed on the wall of Fire Station. SILVER LEVEL - Less than $500. The above and get a special boat ride. GOLD LEVEL - $500 or more. All of the above plus you name is displayed on the cabin of the boat in 1” high letters for three years.
